Managed IT for
K-12 & Higher Education

Schools and districts have compliance requirements, device fleets, and budget constraints that general-purpose IT providers don't deal with every day. We do.

Southern California-based with clients across the country. We manage Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 environments, 1:1 device programs, content filtering, and FERPA/CIPA compliance for schools of all sizes.

What We Deal With in Education Environments

FERPA & CIPA Compliance

Student data protection and content filtering requirements aren't optional — and they carry real consequences, including E-Rate funding, when misconfigured.

Device Fleet Management

Hundreds or thousands of Chromebooks and iPads need imaging, app deployment, and tracking — and they come back damaged, lost, and reset more than office equipment ever does.

EdTech App Sprawl

Teachers adopt new classroom apps constantly. Keeping rostering, SSO, and data sharing agreements under control takes ongoing attention, not a one-time setup.

Budget Constraints

Public and private school budgets are tight. We recommend what you actually need, not what maximizes our invoice.

See how this would work for your organization.

Campus Network Infrastructure

Networks Built for Classrooms, Not Just Offices

A campus network has to handle hundreds of simultaneous device connections, classroom video streaming, testing windows that spike bandwidth demand, and guest access for events — all while staying segmented for security.

We design wireless coverage for classrooms and common areas, configure network segmentation between staff, student, and guest traffic, and size bandwidth for standardized testing periods so the network doesn't buckle during the weeks it matters most.

Bandwidth planning for standardized testing windows

Classroom AV and projector network integration

Guest network configuration for events and visiting parents

Capacity monitoring with alerts before performance issues affect instruction

A common situation we help with

“Wi-Fi drops during state testing when every classroom is online at once.”

This is usually access point density or bandwidth provisioning that was fine for normal day-to-day use but wasn't sized for simultaneous peak load. We assess actual usage patterns during testing windows and size the network for that peak, not the average day.

Education Workspace Platforms for Schools

Most districts run Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or both. We manage these environments day-to-day — not just the initial rollout — so the tools your staff and students depend on stay reliable and properly licensed.

Why Schools Run Google or Microsoft

Education Pricing

Both Google Workspace for Education and Microsoft 365 Education offer free or deeply discounted tiers for qualifying institutions — but the licensing rules require correct setup to stay compliant.

Classroom Integration

Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams for Education both integrate with rostering systems and LMS platforms like Canvas, reducing manual account management.

Centralized Admin Control

Admin consoles let IT staff manage thousands of student and staff accounts, enforce security policies, and control data sharing from one place.

Familiar Tools for Staff

Most staff already know Gmail, Docs, Teams, or Outlook from prior experience, reducing training time compared to less common platforms.

What We Do as Your Workspace Partner

  • Tenant setup, license assignment, and ongoing administration for Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 for Education

  • Single sign-on configuration so students and staff use one set of credentials across LMS, email, and EdTech apps

  • Shared drive and OneDrive structure mapped to departments, grade levels, and classrooms

  • Migration support for districts moving between Google and Microsoft ecosystems, or consolidating both

  • Admin console hardening — sharing restrictions, external collaboration controls, and data loss prevention

  • Ongoing license review so you're not paying for seats you don't need

How We Approach a Rollout or Migration

Whether you're standing up a new district-wide platform or migrating between ecosystems, disruption to instructional time is the main risk. Our process is built around minimizing it.

01

Discovery

We inventory your existing accounts, devices, and EdTech applications — including which tools each department or grade level actually uses.

02

Compliance Review

We check your current setup against FERPA and CIPA requirements and flag gaps before they become audit findings.

03

Pilot Campus or Department

One campus or department moves first so we can validate SSO, content filtering, and device policies before district-wide rollout.

04

Rollout

Accounts, devices, and policies roll out on a schedule that avoids instructional time whenever possible.

05

Staff Training

We provide training for IT staff and, where requested, front-line teacher support during the transition.

06

Ongoing Support

Help desk and admin support continue after go-live — including the inevitable start-of-year device and account surge.

FERPA, CIPA & Student Data

Compliance That Holds Up to Scrutiny

Student data protection isn't a one-time checkbox. FERPA governs how education records are accessed and shared, and CIPA requires content filtering for any district receiving E-Rate discounts. We configure systems to meet both — and keep them that way as your environment changes.

That includes identity and access management, content filtering across all district networks and devices, and security awareness training built around how school staff actually work.

  • Entra ID (Azure AD) or Google Identity for single sign-on across Canvas, Clever, and other classroom apps

  • Content filtering and CIPA compliance configuration for district-owned networks and devices

  • Conditional Access and device compliance policies for staff and student accounts

  • FERPA-aligned data handling — access controls, audit logging, and retention policies for student records

  • Incident response planning specific to K-12 and higher ed environments

  • Security awareness training adapted for school staff, not generic corporate content

CIPA-Compliant Content Filtering

Filtering has to work consistently across campus networks and take-home devices, without blocking legitimate instructional content. We tune filtering policies rather than leaving defaults in place that either over-block or under-protect.

Incident Response Planning

Schools are frequent targets for ransomware and phishing. We help districts build an incident response plan before an incident happens, not while it's underway.

A Note on Student Privacy

Vendor data sharing agreements matter as much as technical controls. We review what student data your EdTech vendors actually collect and flag agreements that don't meet your district's privacy standards.

Device & Campus Management

Keeping Every Device and Campus in Sync

1:1 device programs put hundreds or thousands of Chromebooks and iPads into the hands of students who aren't always gentle with them. Multi-campus districts add the challenge of keeping policy and content consistent across every site.

We manage the device lifecycle from enrollment through retirement, and configure the network and identity infrastructure that keeps every campus working from the same playbook.

1:1 Device Deployment

Chromebook and iPad fleet enrollment via Google Admin Console or Apple School Manager — imaging, app deployment, and restrictions configured before devices reach students.

Content Filtering & CIPA

District-wide content filtering configured to meet CIPA requirements for E-Rate funding, on both campus networks and take-home devices.

Single Sign-On Across Apps

Students and staff log in once and access Canvas, Clever-rostered apps, and Google or Microsoft tools without separate passwords to manage.

Multi-Campus Connectivity

For districts with multiple campuses, we configure WAN connectivity and centralized management so policies and content stay consistent district-wide.
